Role and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working interdependently with a team of
support personnel to develop and resolve business applications concerns
from customers in a timely and qualitative manner within the Motor Vehicle
Division of 3M.  This includes working with the support management to
create and or utilize technical specifications to provide enhancements and
issue resolution to an existing suite of applications currently in production,
while adhering to standards and guidelines within 3M MVS.   In addition,
the support developer will be responsible for assisting with existing
efforts to improve or modify existing R&D efforts when customer support is
not required.  The candidate should have a solid understanding of object
oriented programming and programming principles, a solid understanding of
.NET, experience debugging and analyzing code, and working with team
members to ensure a high quality end product.



Qualifications and Education Requirements

·         Minimum 5 years of experience coding in .NET environment with
emphasis on C# and SQL Server

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Relevant job
experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.

·         Ability to communicate effectively within the team to ensure
current organization standards and procedures are met.

·         Ability to lead multiple projects in as part of services and
operations team.

·         Strong Release planning and management skills.

·         Strong Data analysis, Object oriented and domain design and
development experience.

·         Client-facing expertise is required.

·         Experience in the Agile methodology is preferred but not required.

·         Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills
are required.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills

·         Experience working within a distributed team environment is
preferred.

·         Must excel at working with peers within a team environment.

·         Must excel at identifying, analyzing and resolving issues or
concerns in a timely fashion.

·         Must enjoy working in an environment where the customer
expectations drive high pressure and high visibility to the support role.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience with large-scale enterprise applications deployed
using .NET.

·         Commitment to continuing professional development.

·         Experience in the Motor Vehicle Industry preferred.

·         Relative Microsoft Certification is preferred, but not required.

·         Understanding of VB6

·         Experience supporting customers in a production environment
