Location: Midtown NYC Duration: I year Rate: $DOE Title: ETL/Informatica Developer A plus would be experience with MPP (massively parallel processing) Greenplumb or Netezza Job Description Our ETL Informatica Developer (additional ODI experience would be advantageous) will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of data (both real-time and batch) from operational systems/flat files into a staging area, ODSs, Data Warehouse and downstream Data Marts. You will work as part of an ETL team and you will be expected to design, develop, unit test and document a quality logical and physical ETL capability that has been optimized to meet the operational performance requirements for our integrated reporting solution. This will be achieved through sound architecture, design, and development principles. Responsibilities: * Development and deployment of ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback frameworks * Performing documentation of capacity planning and execution of system optimization/tuning of ETL components * Performing unit testing, system integration testing and assist with user acceptance testing Adapting ETL code to accommodate changes in source data systems and new business requirements * Documentation of ETL detailed design and test results * Development of ETL code, metadata definitions and models, queries and reports, schedules, work processes and maintenance procedures * Collaborates with ETL team, larger integration team, subject matter experts, program Leaders and consultants to define and execute cross-functional data movement Key skills: * You will have proven ETL developer experience with Informatica * Solid software design and documentation skills * Able to multi-task and adapt to a constantly changing environment * Oracle database 10g & 11g * Excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills * UNIX Scripting skills would be very useful * Excellent trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills, root-cause analysis * Good knowledge of Oracle Db knowledge, paired with proven ability to identify processing bottlenecks in and optimise Oracle based processing A plus would be experience with MPP (massively parallel processing) Greenplumb or Netezza Regards, Amy Niu IT Recruiter Vypak/USEReady, Inc.
