Requirement as follows: Title: SAP FICO Functional consultant Contract Duration: 6 - 12 months Location: New York, New York Minimum Requirements: *Rate: DOE Visa: GC / Citizens* *Face to face after telephonic.* Job Purpose Client is rolling out a global instance of SAP to marketing and communication agencies. The SAP instance is branded “Vantage”, which is comprised of tools supporting Budgeting and Forecasting, Resource and Project Planning, Financial and Operations Management. The Vantage program requires a financially-minded business analyst with strong General Ledger experience. The candidate should have professional service industry experience ideally in advertising, media and digital services. SAP FI/CO experience is required.She/he will lead on all aspects of financial and management accounting including month-end/year-end closing and integration to Hyperion. Key Responsibilities The individual will serve as a liaison between the Agencies, Global Shared Services and external financial advisers, and work closely with the SAP product design and deployment teams with responsibilities for the following: Defining the business requirements by: Creating use cases, requirements and process flows Participating in the creation of Business Solution Document (BSD) covering current state, future state,mapping to Vantage processes and creating SDD (Solution Design Document) Helping determine highest priority requirements for the group and managing expectations related to any changes to those priorities/requirements Participating in the review and prioritisation of business enhancement requests for potential inclusion in subsequent product releases. Taking a leading role in resolution of escalated financial accounting support tickets Validating that the solution meets the global and local legal/business requirements Documenting integrated business scenarios and creating test scripts Testing enhancements either through scheduled integration testing (via standard scripts) or on an ad-hoc basis for break-fix items, ensuring an adequate level of regression testing is performed Participating in the deployment of the SAP enhancements and break-fix items to user base, including providing hands-on training where required Participating as necessary in the deployment of the Vantage template to agencies inlcuding: Participating and presentating in agency deployment workshops Mapping of existing business processes to Vantage template process Identifying change management issues Validation of organization structure requests and any system gaps identified Post go-live support Knowledge and Experience Essential: Should have strong accounting background and knowledge. Strong business process knowledge and expertise in General Ledger area including month-end/year-end, foreign currency revaluation, Balance Sheet preparation and integration to Hyperion or similiar consolidation module.
