Please respond back with an updated resume and all inclusive rates to [email protected] *Position: Sr.SQL DBA * *Location: Parsippany, NJ * *Duration: 6 months * *Locals or nearby face to face must * Minimum Requirements: · Installation, Maintenance, Configuration, Migration and Administration of MS SQL Server 2008\2008R2, 2005 and 2000 in clustered and stand alone environment. · Extensive experience in Upgrading MS SQL Server 2000 to 2005, 2000 to 2008R2 and MS SQL Server 2005 to 2008 and applied service packs and hot fixes. · Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). · Experience in Data Modeling, Database Design, Database Programming and ETL Development. · Expert in performing the administrative functions including Backup (FULL, T-LOG, DIFFERENTIAL) and Recovery, Database security, Running Database Consistency Checks, Designing, Performance tuning and Query Optimization. · Extraction Transformations and Loading (ETL) using DTS and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Bulk Insert and BCP. · Experience Normalization, Database design and Capacity Planning. · Experience in monitoring tools such as Enterprise Manager, SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, SSMS and Configuration Manager. · Experience working with various operating systems like MS Windows XP, Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008R2. · Experience in working and installing Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) MS SQL Server 2008/2005 Active/Active and Active/Passive on window 2008R2, 2003. · Database Mirroring as Disaster Recovery plan in MS SQL Server 2008/2005. · SQL Server database clustering (2005/2008/2008R2) · Implementing different types of Replication models like Snapshot and Transactional. · Implementing Log Shipping Technique used for warm backup solution for MS SQL Server 2000, MS SQL Server 2005, MS SQL Server 2008R2 databases. · Extensive experience in Capacity planning, Performance Tuning, and troubleshooting. · Experience in configuring and managing Linked Servers, data transfer between SQL Server and other heterogeneous relational databases such as Oracle and DB2. · Experience in creating packages, Jobs, Sending Alerts using SQL Mail, Database Mail and custom extended procedures like XP_SMTP_MAIL. · Creation and maintenance of Databases, creating Roles and managing user permissions. · Experience in resolving Blocking and Dead lock issues.
