Along with data architect (DA) and database administrator (DBA), participate in design reviews of assigned data acquisition projects. Provide feedback to DA on accuracy of model and ensure model meets business requirements of project. Ensure DBA builds appropriate database objects from correct version of DA’s model. Design accurate and efficient ETL code using PL/SQL to meet requirements of assigned project. Fully test all code and ensure proper version control standards are followed. Design, develop, and deploy ad-hoc reporting requests submitted from project manager in an accurate and timely fashion. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop quality ETL applications, insuring each progress in a timely fashion from design through implementation phases, in accordance with departmental procedures and standards. - Perform maintenance and develop enhancements to existing ETL applications. - Follow all version control standards established by the department. - Assist coworkers with complex application problems and work as a team to develop practical solutions. - Provide training and technical assistance to new and existing project team members. - Remain current on the latest developments in system design and programming techniques. - Document all work performed in accordance with departmental standards. - Perform unit testing on all applications either created new or modified.
