Description: Working within a global modeling team, the Business/Data Modeler will be responsible for the analysis and design of data models at the conceptual and logical levels of existing enterprise models. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, data analysts and other data modelers to create data modeling deliverables through new data models or extending existing enterprise models. Overall purpose: The role provides an opportunity to work within a global team of highly skilled technical professionals, providing consultancy, development, architecture and operational services to global retail markets and clients. The role will also immerse and expose you to a truly unique, world class capability driving the increase in growth and retention of customer loyalty programs on behalf of our many retail clients. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and publishing data management standards, policies and procedures, including the management and maintenance of related tools and environments Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, data analysts and other data modelers to create data modeling deliverables through new data models or extending existing enterprise models Coordinate documentation on business requirements and profile sample data to gain further insight for the purpose of designing data models at the conceptual and logical levels Provide support in the use of enterprise data, including guidance in understanding and exploitation of the underlying data and business models, and identifying optimal data sourcing, mapping and querying methods Essential WORK EXPERIENCE · Experience in data modeling · Experience working with enterprise models · Experience with database technologies · Demonstrated capabilities in problem solving and data analysis. · Demonstrated ability in gathering business requirements, data analysis and contribute in modeling review sessions. · Experience with using Erwin · Experience in retail data across multiple industry verticals · Strong background in writing SQL queries · Experience with Business Intelligence Tools · Experience in modeling aggregated data Essential KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE · Expert in application of data warehousing principles · Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, snowflakes, slowly changing dimensions, irregular dimensions, and surrogate, compound and intelligent keys Desirable · Business knowledge, particularly informing the business about decisions based on design principles · Understand modeling metadata · Understanding of DBA role and activities Thanks & Regards…. ?
