Will be primarily responsible for performance tuning of the OLAP and OLTP
database queries. Will also be responsible for Onshore-Offshore
co-ordination. ****

Analyze Oracle System tables for identification of performance parameters
and roadblocks. ****
Provide guidance on resolving performance issues by the implementation of
optimal query plans, indexes, statistics etc ****
Use Performance Tuning analysis using STATSPACK, TKPROF, SQL Profiling etc
to identify and resolve query performance issues ****
Understand and act upon SQL performance advises provided by OEM. ****
Perform CORE DBA activities like installation, back-up and recovery,
administration, tablespace management etc. ****

*Desirable Technical /Functional Skills*
Strong knowledge of Oracle System tables for analysis and identification of
performance parameters and roadblocks. ****
Proven experience and skills in Performance Tuning of queries. Should be
able to provide guidance on resolving performance issues by the
implementation of optimal query plans, indexes, statistics etc ****
Proven experience and skills in working with Performance Tuning analysis
using STATSPACK, TKPROF, SQL Profiling etc ****
Ability to understand and act upon SQL performance advises provided by OEM.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to frame
technical reports for a wide IT and business audience. ****
Additionally, knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, Grid Control, RMAN, ASM on
10g/11g will be a plus. ****
