*Position : *IT Project Manager *Location : *Carlsbad, CA *Duration : *6 months plus *Start Date:* ASAP *Industry:* Healthcare and Life Sciences In this role the individual will plan, design, implement, and help maintain efficient business and systems solutions in support of a custom on-demand manufacturing operation. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The individual will be responsible for working closely with business end-user community, internal IT staff, and external staff. This position has hands-on responsibility for system prototyping/ configuration, development, testing, and support. *Role Description:* Very skilled project manager leads several simultaneous IT projects serving business platform leadership teams, involving multiple apps and infrastructure. *Responsibilities:* • Minimum 5+ years as project manager of all phases of technical projects including teams of 15-40+ people. • Ability to multi-task in a very fast- paced environment, between multiple projects and post-project support. • Strong time management skills, prioritization abilities and independently “take ownership”. • Responsible to ensure appropriate business processes, data quality, and systems delivery. • Ability to define business processes, data needs, and requirements, write use and business cases. • Experience at Life Technologies is preferred. • Experience with Product Introduction, eBusiness, SAP/E1 ERPs and Manufacturing is preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication, including able to interact with VP level and below effectively. • Work with developers to translate requirements into technical specifications. • Able to work effectively with dispersed, remote and global teams when needed. • Expected to follow Life governance processes and methodologies, and manage to budget. • Able to manage projects even without domain technology expertise by leveraging experts.
