*Scope*
Our Client is launching a Big Data Analytics program and looking for a
Program Manager / Project Manager to manage this effort. The Candidate
needs to have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work
with diverse business and IT Teams. This position will be based in
Harrisburg, PA and will be part of the Enterprise Business Intelligence
Team.
*Specific Job Functions Include*
Drives the creation and management of cross-functional leadership teams.
Leads cross-functional priority setting and resource allocation
relative to each project and/or initiative and participate in the
development and maintenance of technical programs that include diverse
projects to support big data business analytics
Creates high quality solution architecture and designs for big data
analytics solutions, including data acquisition, storage, transformation,
and analysis and a good understanding of infrastructure planning, scaling,
and administration considerations that are unique to volume , variety and
velocity associated with big data analytics implementations.
Facilitates, coordinates and leads cross-functional teams to complete
technical program and/or project plans, tasks and milestones. Ensures
completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required
to support initiatives.
May facilitate vendor alignment and maintain vendor relationships with
cross-functional groups to ensure successful completion of program
deliverables.
Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional
teams across all areas. Defines and reports program roadmap, status,
development issues and success metrics.
Must have proven knowledge and experience in using Project Management
methodologies and tools. Understands and implement project management best
practices including change management, risk/issue management and
contingency planning.
*Required Skills/Experience*
8-12 years of progressive hands-on project/program management experience
5 years of full life-cycle software development implementation
experience in business intelligence, business analytics, data warehousing
and advanced analytics
Demonstrated ability and experience in providing cross-organizational
leadership for application development on big data business analytics.
Comfortable working with senior management, technical leaders, and team
members.
Ability to interact with business executives in business terms.
Strong knowledge of project management industry standards.
Ability to influence technical discussions and decisions
Experience with fast-paced, dynamic environments.
BS / BA in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or
Equivalent
Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
