*Hope you are doing great!!* *Send me the resumes to [email protected] <[email protected]> or you can reach me on 678-824-7775.* *Immediate Interview!!!* *Immediate Interview!!!* *Job Title: GIS IT Services Engineer * *Contract – 6 months * *Location: Houston, TX* *Rate: $55/hr on C2C (All Inclusive) * *Description:* GIS IT Services Engineer Searching for a strong GIS IT Services Engineer to provide ongoing IT support for our client's global Geo-Information community. *Responsibilities include: * · To provide operational GIS IT support and ever greening activities, with focus on day to day incident management on performance, recovery and interruptions. · Enable the client business by delivering competitive IT with a strong emphasis on reliable and secure GIS IT services. · Work very closely with the customer to provide guidance in the effective use of GIS systems, products and services. · Successfully deliver a broad range of GIS IT projects, ensuring proper handover into the relevant customer and external support groups to create a sustainable and reliable operational environment. *Key Accountabilities: * · GIS IT service management and support for the clients global Geo-Information community. · Enable the business via secure and reliable GIS IT services providing new opportunities and clear business value for Shell Geomatics and Upstream Exploration customers. · Act as interface between Geo-Information customers and various infrastructure support groups who are providing operating system support and storage/network. · Guard & assure ArcGIS IT services, ensuring integrity and operational availability. Be the focal point and integrator for escalations between parties managing the infrastructure and application components. · Ensure service level agreements are being met or remediation actions are in place, and end-to-end integration exists between application and infrastructure components. · End-to-end monitoring and problem management across all technical areas. · Work closely with the Shell customers including IT architects to provide guidance in the effective use of GIS systems, products and services. · Document, maintain and improve service performance metrics. · Plan and participate in global GIS IT backend ever greening activities (release management & deployment, security patches, application upgrades). · On boarding (technical, support model, finance) of new GIS projects and functionality into the operational service. · Deployment of GIS IT - ArcSDE and ArcGIS Server services to new locations around the globe liaising with hardware, storage & operating system component infrastructure providers and customers. · Contribute to successful GIS IT project delivery within agreed time and budget. · Translating customer requirements into infrastructure design and managing component infrastructure providers delivery on new requirements. Experience: · ESRI ArcGIS - 10 year(s) · Three to five years of relevant GIS IT experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry or other large multinational company. · In depth experience in the use of ESRI Server and related GIS applications · Proficient on Linux and Windows Server platform. · Experienced Oracle Database knowledge. · Python programming skills/experience preferred. · Familiar with Enterprise GIS IT architecture and concepts Requirements: · Customer focused and pro-active attitude; enjoy customer facing, taking end-to-end responsibility. · Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution. · Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written. · Highly motivated with good organization, communication, and team working skills · Demonstrates a strong business sense and technical expertise in GIS IT and related technologies. · Flexible, and willing to work outside of normal office hours occasionally in order to ensure that service and high customer satisfaction is maintained. · Demonstrates ability to handle many tasks concurrently including negotiation skills available to work through conflicting deadlines to reach agreement with clients in an amenable manner. · In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills on a variety of hardware and software platforms. · Is familiar with IT process and support tools like for example ITIL. · Very good generic IT Infrastructure skills covering Windows Server and Linux. · Excellent GIS backend application support skills covering ArcGIS Server, Internet Information Services, ArcSDE/Oracle on Linux. This includes infrastructure and application capacity planning. · Is proficient with Enterprise (GIS) IT architecture design and concepts. · Excellent organizational and planning skills. · Ability to apply advanced techniques, theory, concepts and practices in an operational GIS IT landscape. · Knowledge of IT Project Management and service on boarding principles is desired. · A diversified knowledge of general GIS principles, workflows and practices is desired. · Exposure to the Oil & Gas (E&P) business, preferably in the Subsurface/Geomatics area is preferred. · Ability to share knowledge and experiences, willingness to adopt the ideas of others, while keeping abreast of new developments, recognizing technology gaps and knowing what the competition is doing in the field of GIS IT. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
