*Role: QA Tester (Automation)* *Location: Downtown Chicago, IL * *Duration: 12+ Months Contract* *Rate: $40/hr on C2C* *MUST HAVES:* *Development Portion:* 5+ years of software development experience, strong ability and experience in Java programming 3 – 5 years of Development experience with at least (2) years in Java – will need to prepare a Java coding sample Expertise in SQL (for Oracle), and Shell scripting, familiarity with XML, experience working on Linux platform, knowledge of middleware interfaces Proficient in writing core Java applications (J2SE), including familiarity with the Java collections and concurrency libraries. Proficient in data retrieval and message parsing. Experience with Tibco or other messaging middleware a plus. *Automation Portion:* Ability to design, implement, and expand scalable test automation solutions independently and in a timely manner. Experience with at least one test automation platform (preferably Selenium or other Java based platform), experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (for both GUI and non-GUI interfaces). *Testing:* Create, execute, troubleshoot Unit and Systests Ability to conduct root cause analysis of defects identified in a timely manner and provide follow-up with development, business analysts … *QA: *Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies, experience testing web-based applications and futures/derivatives industry experience is strongly preferred *Other: *Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others with varying levels of technical understanding.
