Here's the Job Description *Data Modeler with Teradata Experience - Baltimore MD* *Required Skills* Data Modeler with Teradata Experience Teradata Features such as compression, stats, indexes, NUSI, Soft RI from a physical standpoint in ERwin some level of logical modeling in addition to the physical modeling as mentioned in the description. Strong ERwin skills is a huge requirement for this position in addition to Teradata skills Have a minimum of 5 years development experience on Teradata. Have minimum of 2 years experience in ERwin. Have created physical data model with a data modeling tool like ERwin, PowerDesigner, etc. Require strong ERWin experience over other modeling tools. § Have strong experience in defining logical and physical models in ERwin, using naming standards, defining relationships, subject areas, forward engineering and reverse engineering scripts, applying Teradata functionalities such as compression, statistics, PPI through ERwin data model. § Experience in ERwin API, Visual Basic Code Editor, Erwin 9.x and future releases and Erwin Model Manager is a plus. Have modified physical data model for efficient data access paths. Have generated and executed DDL to create databases, tables, views, and the semantic layer. Have identified and created primary indexes, partitioned primary indexes, secondary indexes, join indexes, and all other needed indexes. Have identified statistics columns, and created and executed collect statistics statements. Have identified, defined, and created necessary associative tables, data constraints, and compression mechanisms. Have established standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance. Must have good communication skills. Must work well in a team environment. Must have experience interacting with end users, other developers, and/or other teams as part of the development process. Prefer healthcare or insurance industry related experience.
