Senior QA Analyst: - Sr QA
The Senior QA Analyst is a senior level position and typically requires six
or more years of experience.  The Sr. QA Analyst prepares and implements
systems quality assurance reviews for numerous applications. Responsible
for primary development of testing plans/strategies. Consults with users,
providing advice and direction. Performs analysis of more complex business
and technical requirements and system specifications. May serve as a
coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Creates test plans and
scripts for own projects.  May review test plans and test sets/test cases
written by others.  Performs moderately complex to complex test data
conditioning, regression testing and testing validation and communicates
testing results. Provides specific guidance on defects to developers. Gives
direction to less experienced QA Analysts and QA Specialists. Logs, tracks,
and verifies resolution of software and specification defects.  Documents
all phases of the Systems QA process. Assist in the development of quality
assurance standards and measures.

QA Analyst: Mid Level QA
The QA Analyst is an intermediate level position. Under general
supervision, assists in the creation, preparation, and implementation of
systems quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of
basic to moderately complex test plans, test scenarios and test cases/test
sets. Interacts with users to share information and clarify instructions.
Works with more experienced analysts to assist in test strategy and test
plan development. Creates basic to moderately complex test plans, test
cases/test sets and test scripts using templates and guidelines. Performs
basic to moderately complex test data conditioning, regression testing and
testing validation and communicates testing results. Logs, tracks, and
verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all
phases of the Systems QA process. May provide guidance to less experienced
analysts or specialists. Assists in the development of quality assurance
standards and measures.

QA Specialist: - Jr QA
The QA Specialist is an entry level position. Under direct supervision and
in a learning capacity, assists in the creation, preparation, and
implementation of systems quality assurance reviews and the development and
execution of test plans and test cases/test sets. Interacts with users to
share information and clarify instructions. Creates basic test plans using
templates and guidelines. Works with more experienced analysts to create
and select test cases and create test scripts. Performs simple test data
conditioning, regression testing, testing validation and reports on testing
progress. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and
specification defects. Documents all phases of the Systems QA process.
