Please include your employer details as well and reply to my official id [email protected] <[email protected]>* *JOB TITLE: Storage Engineer* *Location: OH-Ohio/Columbus* *Duration: 6 Months* *M.O.I Telephonic + Skype* *Required skills/years:* IBM Storage: •Minimum 5 years of working experience with IBM Storage systems and replication technologies. •Installation, Configuration and Administration of IBM Storage arrays – DS8000, DS4800, DS3500: 5 •Experience using IBM storage technologies such as SVC, TPC, Flash Copy, Global & Metro Mirror : 5 •Complete end-to-end Storage LUN provisioning: 5 •Troubleshooting and resolution of storage issues: 5 •Working knowledge of RAID Groups and LUN management: 5 •Setting up replication using IBM SAN Volume Controller(SVC): 5 •Preparing storage performance/capacity utilization reports for the management: 5 •Business continuity/DR planning and testing in the storage domain: 5 Hitachi Storage: •Minimum 5 years of work experience with Hitachi storage and replication technologies •Familiarity with Hitachi storage tools such as Command Suite (HCS), Storage Navigator (HSNM2), Tuning Manager (HTnM), Replication Manager (HRpM): 5 •Familiarity with Hitachi Unified Storage family (HUS 110, HUS 150): 5 •Knowledge of storage tiering and thin provisioning using Hitachi storage technologies: 5 •Ability to design and implement DR/Replication solutions using Hitachi replication tools and technologies: 5 IBM Tivoli storage Manager Backup and Recovery: •Minimum 3 years of experience with TSM server v6.x/Backup client installation and configuration. •Configuring policy domain, mgmt classes, backup policies, storage pools, migration, reclamation, TSM scripting and scheduling etc: 3 •Experience with IBM 3494/IBM 3584 Tape libraries and tape check in/checkout process: 3 •Day to Day Management of TSM which includes performing backups and file level restores, creating offsite tapes, troubleshooting backup issues: 3 •Experience with architecting enterprise business continuity plans and test disaster Recovery solutions for TSM: 3 Brocade SAN switches: •Minimum 3 years of experience in configuring and managing Brocade SAN environment. •Administer and Manage SAN switches such as Mcdata 6140, Mcdata 4700, Brocade 5300, and Brocade 7500: 3 •Ability to create and manage zone configurations including LSANs within Brocade SAN Fabrics: 3 •Familiarity with using Network Advisor to administer, monitor and troubleshoot SAN fabrics: 3 •Experience in troubleshooting SAN problems, collecting support save, backing up zone configurations, running SAN Health reports: 3 *Description:* The contractor should possess Enterprise Senior experience involving system/network SAN administration in large server farms, the knowledge of physical/virtual Red Hat Linux, VMware and Windows environments (minimum 3 years’ experience), having the ability to perform hardware/software upgrades, knowledge to implement and adhere to “best practices” security guidelines, and ability to provide performance tuning to storage systems. The person will work with the Build/Integration team and closely with the Build/Systems team to provide this functionality and SAN system support. *Typical Daily Activities:* Contractor will operate in SA4 role performing the following duties. The primary focus of this role is providing senior SAN/ Storage Engineer experience and brings insight and direction when applicable. Other duties include…. •Provide “As Built” documentation to BWC system team where applicable •Deliver Knowledge Transfer sessions to BWC system team •Research and recommend where possible automated approaches for implementing specific given tasks •Storage solution installation, configuration and on-going support. •Troubleshooting and problem resolution for the fiber channel network, iSCSi, FCIP, NFS networks •Improve response times and data transfer rates •Troubleshooting and resolution of storage issues •Setting up replication on IBM SVC using Global, Metro Copy and Hitachi Replication manager using the Copy on Write, Shadow Image and TCE/TCS replication techniques. •Storage trending/utilization/performance reports •Tivoli storage Productivity Center support (installs upgrades, maintenance, patching, configuration, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair). •Business Continuity Planning and Testing of Plans •Services to improve operations •Consulting services •Configuration services •Customization services •Responses to customer inquires •Responses and resolution to trouble tickets •Day to Day management of the Tivoli storage Manager Servers and clients. •Make recommendations to management for future storage capacity needs •Research new storage technologies and analysis of alternatives •Disaster Recovery planning and testing in the Storage domain during the scheduled DR Test.
