Seeking a
Technical Systems Analyst for our well known retail client. As a member of the
Marketing Systems team, the Marketing Solutions Analyst is the liaison between
the business user and the technology team and is the advocate for the end users
of the marketing data, data mart, and applications. The Marketing Systems
Analyst identifies requirements based on analysis of business needs, current
state environments, gap analysis, and desired future state. This person enables
the delivery of specific pieces of marketing solution capability and assures
quality and availability of associated data. The Marketing Solution Analyst’s
function is detail intensive, requiring the accurate capture and translation of
tactical and analytic business needs to solution and data requirements and then
work with development, business end users, operations and third party
partners/vendors to construct the working solution. It is the Marketing Solution
Analyst’s responsibility to ensure that enhancements and new solutions are
built to support specific business goals, championing efficiency, flexibility
and scalability where appropriate. Key Accountabilities: ·
Planning and
Executing Marketing System Enhancements and Projects. ·
Partner with the
business sponsors to understand their business objectives, ensuring that all
projects effectively support strategic and tactical needs. ·
Effectively
communicate the business goals to the technical teams to ensure, precise,
stable, and scalable enhancements that meet given objectives. ·
Provide business
requirements for the technology projects related to marketing systems and data,
identifying source systems and data required to meet user's current and
potential future needs. ·
Design and
validate source and target mappings and transformation logic required to support
information requirements. ·
Effectively
communicate across business and technology teams to define scope and
constraints. ·
As an active
participant and stakeholder during the development process, provide the business
perspective on the project plan and schedule. ·
Hold delivery
team accountable for timelines and scope to ensure ROI goals are effectively
met. ·
Maintain and
Optimize Marketing Systems. ·
With
understanding of marketing system and data needs, proactively identify gaps in
data coverage and identify required enhancements and opportunities for
improvement within the Affiliate and Search Marketing silo. ·
SME (subject
matter expert) on business processes, that involve the transfer of information
and data between our clients and 3rd Party vendors. ·
Research data and
systems issues and resolve or prioritize their resolution. ·
Participate
actively in the onboarding and certification of new vendors. ·
Build and
Maintain Data feeds on "Product Data Feeds Manager" tool. ·
Assure Marketing
Data Quality. ·
Define and
document acceptance criteria for each project. ·
Identify system
integration problems and support solution identification. ·
Responsible for
overall coordination of user acceptance testing, establishes UAT test plan and
conduct testing/validation. ·
Play a role in
delivering user training. Skills Summary: ·
Have a thorough
understanding of ETL processing methods, underlying data models,
security, file/data exchange protocols and capabilities of the marketing
applications. ·
Knowledgeable
about industry standard marketing systems and technologies, processes, and the
operational search marketing support (including commissioning and sales
logic). ·
Proven ability to
write effective system and process documentation (including data mappings,
business and system requirements, business process diagrams and data flow
diagrams). ·
Familiarity with
SaaS. ·
Extremely detail
oriented. ·
Technical
proclivity to learn new systems/technology for future incorporation or
integration to the data universe. ·
Ability to
facilitate and manage technology efforts focused on enhancement of marketing
solutions and data. ·
Must be creative,
resourceful, decisive, and resilient; all the time using good judgment and
problem-solving skills. ·
BS/BA degree in
Information Technologies, Marketing, Business Administration or a closely
related field. ·
Proficient SQL
skills. ·
Testing and QA
