*Position: DataStage Developer * *Location: Phoenix, AZ* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Rate: $45/hr on C2C* *Description:* DataStage Developer The ideal candidate for this position will also have the opportunity to play a leadership role in further defining and implementing the data strategy for Group Insurance business. *Particular responsibilities include: * Delivery large-scale ETL solutions using DataStage and multiple database technologies (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle). Play a lead role in analyzing business requirements and designing end-to-end ETL solutions that best meet business needs. If he/she is an onshore lead, oversee day-to-day ETL development work of onsite and offshore resources, including design and code reviews, guiding progress toward successful implementation and delivery. Collaborate with analysts, data modelers and architects during data modeling, data mapping and system specification activities. Oversee unit testing, system and integration testing, and performance testing to validate the solution. Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test strategies and plans. Partner with architects to further define and develop the data architecture for Group Insurance business. Partner with business teams to look for opportunities to enhance current reporting capabilities. - *ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED * 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years as ETL development lead. 5+ years experience using IBM InfoSphere DataStage with multiple database systems (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle). Experience using other ETL tools, in particular Microsoft SSIS and Informatica - preferred but not required. Health Insurance experience required Solid experience developing complex SQL statements. Strong knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse development best practices.
