*Description: Administration& Engineering:*
* Experience in working with different operating systems like HPUNIX, UNIX
and Windows NT/2000.
Cognos Application and Report Cube Migration, Installation and
configuration of Cognos 10.1 server environments (Framework manager, Report
Studio, Query Studio and Analysis Studio etc.) and applying fix packs/
patches.
* Performance Tune the application by changing the configuration of Cognos
Application
* Expertise in Cognos security Architecture for engineering changes
* Add business security by creating & managing users in LDAP server.
* Good understanding of Cognos performance monitoring & tuning.
* Bursting / Scheduling reports in Cognos production environment
* Content store installation, taking backup and restoring the same.
* Creation of data sources.
* Setting & monitoring of development, test, and production environment.
* To provide support and troubleshoot application related issues along with
developers.
* Periodically monitor application usage/system usage using Audits.
* Configuring and managing Web server (IIS), Gateways and Dispatchers.
* Managing the auditing tables, the log server and performing audit purging.
* Resolving issue related to Scheduling, Security/Capabilities, Cognos
Server, and Application Development.
* Restarting Cognos Services for any issues.
*Development:*
* Over 4+ years of IT experience in analysis, design, development and
implementation of Client/Server, Data Warehouse/Data Mart and Business
Intelligence using, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server as backend on Windows
2000/NT and UNIX Platforms.
* Experience in handling Business tools worked with Cognos Report net,
Cognos8 series (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Cognos
Connection)
* Experience in working with the series of Cognos suite in Production ,
Test and Development environments using Cognos Impromptu , Cognos Report
Administrator, Impromptu Web Reports (IWR),Power Play Transformer, Power
Play Enterprise Server (PPES)and Access Manager.
* Experience in Data Analysis providing Business Intelligence solutions
using Informatica-PowerCenter/PowerMart, Repository manager, administration
and extensive experience in resolving data transformations and mapping
issues.
* Experience in SQL Queries, Creating Views, PL/SQL Stored Procedures.
* Excellent Working knowledge with Insurance, Financial, Telecommunications
and pharmaceutical Industries in the business process and their
interdependencies.
