Job Title : RF Optimization Engineer Location: Oklahoma City, OK / Schaumburg, IL / Dallas, TX
Duration: 1 year Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of activities related to field testing, development of engineering guidelines and recommendations of new Software and Hardware RAN components for UMTS and LTE systems. Responsible for the development of network deployment strategies and product roadmaps. Requires strong communication skills both verbally and written, ability to work in cross organizational team environment. Plans, organizes and reports on work projects and resources. Assists manager and executive management at both national and local market levels with implementation and development of strategies and guidelines. Remains current with industry trends and technologies. Monitors network performance during field testing and provides recommendations for improvements. Ensures compliance with government regulations and system specifications. Qualifications * Education: BS or MS degree in Science or Engineering preferred and/or equivalent related network experience. * At least 7+ years of successful network engineering optimization related experience. At least 5 years of UMTS optimization experience and 2 years of LTE optimization experience are required. * Excellent speech communication, presentation and technical writing skills. * Complete understanding of wireless network architecture, design, performance and optimization for UMTS and LTE technologies for voice and data. * Strong experience with Ericsson RAN and/or ALU RAN platforms. * Background in SQL and Excel Macro development. * Strong RF Optimization knowledge a must. * Previous RF market level engineering experience is required. * Strong ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple competing priorities. * Ability to lead a cross organizational team in the fast pace growing technology environment. * Proven ability to identify and manage routine and complex problems, and to work well in a technical, fast paced and challenging environment. * Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a team environment with multiple organizations. * Familiarity to Business Objects and/or Optima is a must.
