*Job Title : Functional Automation Tester* *Location : Trenton, NJ 08666* *Duration : 12 months + (possible CTH within 6 months)* *Citizenship Status:* US Citizen preferred; will consider Green Card *Role/Responsibilities: * As the Functional Automation Tester, candidates must perform the following: · Experience testing systems built on Java using Oracle. · Participate in product spec reviews, design reviews, defect triage calls, and other project meetings as required · Ability to manage defects, including reporting, assessing report metrics, identifying trends, and instigating warranted process improvements when possible · Possess strong verbal communications · Possess strong leadership skills with an open and collaborative communication style. · Possess strong problem solving skills · Possess high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges · Possess confidence, takes ownership, willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done · Able to provide accurate time/resource estimates for assigned tasks · Ability to work independently, take initiative with minimal supervision and with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing client requirements · Analyzes testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for the test level to be executed · Designs testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional requirements relative to the test level as defined in business or technical specifications · Able to provide accurate time/resource estimates for assigned tasks · Improving testing collateral through lessons learned participation and contribution *Required Skills: MUST HAVE* We are looking for 1 Automation Tester with the following required skills: · Testing automation experience, preferably with *RFT (Rational Functional Tester)* · Thorough understanding of testing practices, methodologies, and processes Experience with testing tools such as Rational Clear Quest (CQ) and Rational Functional Tester. · Knowledge in SDLC and development process using Scrum methodologies · Strong communication skills - good listener and communicator · Must be a team player; excellent written and communication skills is a must *Education Requirements: MUST HAVE* · *5+ Years of total IT experience with minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Tester of a distributed application/services using Java/J2EE technologies* · *2+ years of experience with test automation for enterprise applications* · Strong functional testing experience, including functional integrated component testing, functional system testing (including some security testing and data validation), consolidated integrated end to end functional testing, regression testing and UAT support · Experience delivering business value on time and with highest quality, even under aggressive release schedules · Possess strong test planning, test scenario, test case/script development and execution, test tracking, and test status reporting capability *Optional Skills:* Motor vehicle Best Regards, Tom Martin *Idexcel* Sr. IT Recruiter 459 Herndon Parkway Suite 11, Herndon, VA - 20170 [email protected] I www.idexcel.com Phone: 571-441-0419 l Fax: (703) 880-7584 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
