Kindly let me know your comforts on the following position and please do reply me with your updated resume [email protected] *Position: Oracle Database Administrator* *Location: Collegeville, PA* *Duration: 5 months * *Experience: Good Experience on Oracle 11g, OEM, RMAN, Performance Tuning* Experience in Production support environment Should be flexible to work in non-business hours like weekends/holidays based on the project requirement Must have excellent communication skills Experience and Other Requirements (including Soft Skills): Database Administration including Design, Performance Tuning & Maintenance & Security Ensure availability, and performance of oracle databases across development, test and production environments Experience of Oracle RMAN, Grid Control, & OEM (Preferably 12c) Backup Reporting/Troubleshooting Database refresh activities Monitoring logs - alerts, startup and shutdown logs DB Maintenance - bouncing DB's DB User Creation - based on model user Troubleshooting long running jobs and escalating appropriately Reviewing database file activity to identify trends that could lead to I/O contention Identifying invalid indexes and rebuild the same for optimal query performance Perform backups in accordance with the backup policies such as cold and hot backups, export and import of tables or databases Apply latest patches, PSUs, service packs and hotfixes for all the database environments (Development, UAT, QA, Production and DR) Work with Oracle product support regarding SR's and other product related issues Table-space and Data-file maintenance and management. Post installation support of Patching and upgrades Application tuning using explain plan for SQL statements. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery process. Good Understanding of ITIL processes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills whilst engaging with colleagues and clients at various levels and functions. Strong work ethic coupled with enthusiasm and passion Good time management and multi-tasking ability Ability to understand the environment and start supporting it in very short time. Responsibilities: This position will primarily be to build and support Oracle database environments serving very high number of users across geographies as per IT road map Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the Oracle databases. Ability to interact with development teams, business owners, and various levels of management for troubleshooting any issues. Provide input into the definition & implementation of database practices, tools and processes Experience with performance tuning and monitoring.
