Supports and/or installs software applications /operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. *Responsibilities * - Design, develop, test, and implement new java based data stores, applications and web services. - Migrate existing data stores, applications and services to new SDR based framework. - Uses resourcefulness and innovative thinking in applying well established analytical techniques and basic organization skills to evaluating semi-routine alternatives and to developing recommended approaches to assigned problems - Accountable for high levels of personal productivity on assigned tasks and projects - Communicates clearly technical findings, issues, and outcomes to other team members - Communicates with both internal and external contacts at a variety of organizational levels to gather requirements and discuss defined specifications *Required Skills * - 7+ years of experience with Java, servlets and web applications. - Strong knowledge of standard SQL storage systems including stored procedures, index strategies, and transactions. - Must have in depth experience designing, developing and testing Java based web applications. - Good to have Exp with Glassfish, Tomcat, JMS/MQ messaging, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, Hadoop), Pig, Hive, REST, CXF. JAXB/JAX-RS, EJB's and other Java EE6 technologies. - Nice to have exp with JPA/Hibernate - Understanding of multi-tier web architectures, and OO design patterns and concepts. - Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of software and database projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment. - Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. - Must demonstrate solid organization/communication skills. - Manage multiple projects within a short development cycle.
