*Software Testing* *Location: Alpharetta, GA* *Rate: Negotiable* *Duration: Long Term* The Software Tester will be a member of a team of Quality Assurance professionals responsible for testing and verifying the functionality of financial software products. The proper candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills and a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle. Basic accounting and/or wholesale finance experience is a plus. Candidates should have experience using defect tracking tools. *Responsibilities:* Creates and executes test scenarios and test cases and develops the data to support them Understands Use Case methodology and can translate use cases into detailed test cases Participate in and facilitate test case reviews Participate in product design reviews and contribute business user perspective Perform System and Integration testing to ensure software products conform to requirement and functional specifications Perform Regression tests Contribute in test planning activities including developing documentation, test results and outstanding defects Identify, analyze and document defects or other anomalies discovered in software products Utilize a defect tracking tool and clearly communicate the problem, steps to recreate the problem and the expected results as defined in the test case Must be a business professional Demonstrate strong business sense Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal communications Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Maintain a high standard of quality when validating system functionality and determining acceptance Provide recommendations for product improvement by creating formal Product Change Requests Assist client users and testers in development and execution of test cases during User Acceptance Testing process or as defined by the project plan Adherence and contribution to process improvement, including establishment of standard operating procedures and documentation standards Assist Development, IT, Support or other personnel in isolating defects in software products.
