POSITION SUMMARY
STATEMENT:
The Principal
Developer, Hyperion is the champion and technical expert for our Hyperion
Application Suite, helping drive long term strategic direction, design
requirements, features, functionality, and necessary enhancements along with
day- to-day supporting of Hyperion Finance Modules and planning users. Will act
as go to person for business users and will take a leadership role within the IS
organization to identify trends, opportunities, and present data-driven insights
to Hyperion Application Suite. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong
technical proficiency, leading by examples and mentoring team members,
application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with
other business and technology personnel. The Principal developer Hyperion will
report to the Sr Manager, Applications Management.
DETAILED
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Responsible
for Analysis / configuration / coding and unit testing of Hyperion application
software across production support, enhancements and projects.
- Leading
team in design/configuration sessions and provide effective solutions. Meet
service level agreements for production support response and resolution.
- Design
and develop technical solutions to a pre-defined requirement and develop
components including extensions, views, customizations, modifications,
reports, and workflows independently or as a part of a team. Will participate
in all stages of implementation including design, development &
deployment.
- Enhance
performance in the Applications environment. Tuning configuration
/code,
- Gather
requirements from business/ end users. Follow documentation, software
development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards.
- Develop
a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing.
- Provide
technical guidance and mentoring to others in areas of expertise.
- Code,
unit test, implement and support these enterprise application solutions.
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
- Thorough
understanding of Finance business processes in a global Finance
environment.
- Expert
level knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, CE, Projects,
FA, iExpense).
- Demonstrated
ability to build/ edit reports using Financial Reports with the ability to
resolve data load issues using ERPi ODI application.
- Demonstrated
ability to design a planning application based on the requirements from
business/ end users and to build an EPMA planning application.
- Demonstrated
ability to provide technical solutions and design recommendations based on
best practices with the ability to write complex calculation scripts &
business rules based on business requirements.
- Ability
to configure and design reports within Financial Reports.
- Strong
knowledge of related application configurations and processes
- Proficiency
with SQL based queries
- Knowledge
of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies
- Ability
to identify system impact for small and large scale initiatives
- Experience
with global implementations of Oracle EBS
- Ability
to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying
deadlines
- Able
to effectively lead and motivate small project teams
- Ability
to achieve results under limited direction
- Strong
customer and results orientation
- Excellent
oral and written communication skills
- Strong
interpersonal skills
Experience:
- 7+
years of demonstrated experience in Technology/IT industry.
- 5+
years of demonstrated experience with Oracle EBS Financials modules and
processes.
Education:
- Bachelors
degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or
equivalent
