PLUS Overview: · Candidate to join the Global Build Services team within a group of technical staff which is part of GT-P/Infrastructure Solutions Design (ISD) area. · Interfacing with various engineering and database teams within the bank. Making sure the design is fit for purpose as well as being production worthy. · Excellent technical skills are essential, as well being able to work under pressure to meet tight delivery timelines. Requirements: 1. Must have 5+ yrs analyzing and resolving production issues in a time-critical environment, including identification of root cause, recommendation of one or more fixes, and implementation of the selected fix. 2. Must have Unix shell scripting (KORN & PERL)& Oracle database administration (e.g., export/import, backups, and troubleshooting), and use of database tools like Toad, SQL Developer. 3. Must have development experience in one or more of the following: a. Solaris 10(and earlier releases), Solaris 10 Zones b. Linux (SUSE, Vmware) c. Veritas Backup & Recover Software – ØCluster Server (not just support but architecture and deployments) ØVeritas Volume Manager (including advanced troubleshooting) ØVeritas File Systems ØVeritas CFS ØSun Volume Manager · EMC San technologies (RDF, DMX, Symmetric Unix command set) · Documentation skills (sharepoint, wiki) · Candidate will work in a highly decentralized and customer facing environment. · Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. · Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator. · Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project. 2 New
