Responsabilities:

·         The developer will work closely with technical leads to review
software requirements and insure they can be translated into a valid and
testable software design.

·         They will work closely with technical leads to produce any needed
research, analyze risk, review and produce development estimates.

·         They will implement and validate the new software.

·         They will actively participate in the test planning and
development of automated unit and component tests for the product.

·         The successful developer should have excellent communication
skills to handle discussions with product planning, architecture and
engineering, understand the reasons for the specific customer requirements
and be able to translate this information into unambiguous design
documentation.

·         They will produce high quality, customer friendly, extensible
software.

The developer should have the following qualifications:

* BS EE/CS; MS preferred; 5+ years experience

* Operating Systems experience

* Linux (SLES, RHEL)

* Microsoft Windows

* API/Application development across multiple languages /technologies

* C++, Java

* Python, Perl

* XML, JSON

* HTML5, Javascript

* Knowledge of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) generation for VoIP, Video,
Data

* Network Architecture and Protocols A strong understanding of large-scale
network architecture and operational behavior, a strong understanding of
large-scale network protocols, a strong understanding of IP and Ethernet,
and a reasonable understanding of higher-level protocols (OSI layer 2/layer
3). Also, IP Services knowledge like IPTV, VOD, VoIP services to understand
how a customer may be using a filter in the network.

Examples would include some of the following:

* Link Layer

* Ethernet, VLAN, MPLS, GRE

* Internet Layer

* IPv4, ICMP, ICMPv6, IGMP

* Transport Layer

* TCP, UDP, SCTP

* Application Layer

* RTP, RTCP, MPEG-TS

* Data (any payload left over after last automatically recognized header)
