*Title: Data Center Build Manager* *Location : Dallas, TX* *Duration : 6 months* *Rate: Negotialbe* The Data Centre Manager is responsible for driving the build-out and ongoing management of the Data Centre facilities. He/she is responsible of leading the team to provide build of infrastructure , performance and management of the Data Centre(s) and server rooms. Responsibilities: Must have capacity planning and providing input for architectural planning, designing and build out of additional data center space well as working with the internal and external partners responsible for implementation of proposed solutions. The Data Centre Manager will provide direction and strategy for the team. •Experience as a Data Centre Manager that is well seasoned, must be able to oversee entire Data Centre, be able to handle any situation that comes up and be able to resolve it and must be a hands on manager. •Ensures production schedules and run requests are executed according to approved procedures and documented program dependencies. •Ensures all policies and procedures documents are kept up to date in accordance to the standards). •Works with Facility Engineering on managing power and cooling capacity in the Data Centre (s) and monitors environmental conditions within the Data Centre(s). •Ensures that all critical loads, electrical, cooling, and racks are tracked and ensures continued ongoing balance of the same. Analyzes and ensures that all electrical and mechanical problems within the Data Centers are resolved quickly. •Works with technical team to build out all the infrastructure (storage,network,compute) in timely manner •Work with team to provide all rack elevations and dc floor plans and keep them updated •Assists and handle auditors (Internal and external) during audits for the Data Centre(s). •Performs resource planning •Well versed with Microsoft Project and Project planning and Visio for DC layouts etc. *REQUIREMENTS: * •Good Degree/Diploma qualifications. Familiar with ISO 27001 and ITIL v3 certified. •7+ years of experience managing a medium to large DC. •5+years of operational experience in a multiple host environment including Windows, Linux, Midrange, and storage environments. •Have hand-on experience in handling at least 2 Data Centre migrations for DC builds •Have experience in handling disaster recovery scenarios. •Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems used in a data center environment including transformers, generators, switch gear, UPS, ATS/SST units, PDUs, chillers, air handlers, CRAC units, fire suppression, and building management systems. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines. •Excellence team leadership. Relevant Data Centre certification is a plus.
