Software script development, Netezza performance tuning and troubleshooting. Query & system performance optimization. · Participates within the *DBA* team to troubleshoot any issues on the *Netezza* appliance. · Requires analytical and design skills with the ability to translate user and system requirements into a data model and technical design. · The individual engaged in these activities will have experience in the Netezza data warehouse appliance, data warehousing, working with very large data sets and expertise in SQL. · Provide technical documentation data models and design for listed projects. · Work with appliance vendor to troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and create and follow-up on support tickets as needed. · Work with business units to troubleshoots difficult database problems, including slow running queries and resource contention. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills · Provide knowledge transfer to a designated employee.
