*Position – Data Modeler * *Location - Indianapolis, IN * *Duration: 6 months+* *Job Title : Data Modeler * *Position Responsibilities: * • Perform logical data modeling, physical data modeling (including reverse engineering) using the *Sybase’s Power Designer* Data modeling tool. • Perform logical data model design including normalization/de normalization referential integrity, data domains; primary and foreign key assignments and data element definitions as applied to both relational and dimensional modeling. • Ensure that the physical data model design includes standard database object names, referential integrity, appropriate constraints, foreign key assignments and consistent/appropriate use of surrogate keys and de normalization. • Negotiate priorities and resolve requirement conflicts among various stakeholders. • Follow standards, procedures, and guidelines for abbreviations, acronyms, class words and naming standards and data model reviews. • Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings using email and presentations. • Conduct data modeling sessions with business users and technical staff, which includes conveying complex ideas both verbally and in written form. • Conduct technical interviews in the Information Technology environment. • Assist Business Subject Matter Experts and data stewards to review and "scrub" their data in a timely manner and perform data audits, as necessary. • Assist in creation of document data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and other project deliverables, as requested. • Assist project team with trouble-shooting of "data issues" as they arise during testing cycles. *Qualifications: * • Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or a related discipline, or 8+ years of equivalent experience in Computer Technology is required. • 8+ years demonstrated analyst experience using modeling languages, technical product life cycle concepts and requirements engineering) is required. reverse engineering a physical data model from a physical database is required. *Data Modeler Skills: * • Ability to conduct data modeling sessions with business users and technical staff, which includes conveying complex ideas both verbally and in written form. • Ability to understand database management system administration with regard to performance, configuration and de normalization. • In addition to standard data modeling duties, ability to lead effort to ensure system test data is loaded accurately and in timely manner. *Best Regards* *Wasim Ahmed* *IDC Technologies,Inc| 1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116, Milpitas, CA, USA, 95035 **[email protected]* <[email protected]>* | **+1 408-457-9399,Extn-2017 |Fax 408-608-6088* *ISO 9001-2008 Certified * "Under Bill s. 1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail can not be considered spam as long as we include a way to be removed from our mailing list.
