Java *PLEASE NOTE:* Need candidates with flexible start times as the candidate may be required to take an occasional conference call outside of local work hours of 8am-5pm as this is a global team. *Position description* *Role Description: * Specifically this role will involve working / assisting on deploying various projects currently being implemented by the Platform Group Operation’s team. The position will require the successful candidate to be able to multi task across numerous initiatives related to the Big Open Data (BOLD) initiative and to work collaboratively with different teams both on technical considerations, as well as processes and procedures. As such, the candidate will need to prioritise and manage work load accordingly, to deliver to schedule the key parts or tasks assigned to them in support of the project and timeline. An advantage for the successful candidate to have is experience in both Linux (Oracle 5.x/6.x) and Windows 2008/12 operating systems. Primary skill set will be Linux. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in building a number of medium to large scale production environments and helping to create a new product offering for the company. The role is focused on implementing applications rather than OS installation and administration. Linux / Windows based application work involves deploying application via self written scripts and/or automated deployment methods, testing and configuring the application, associated monitoring, and configuring the application to run with restricted permissions to TR standards. Understand application resiliency and DR requirements being able to advise and design with development teams fault tolerant solutions.
