If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest. *Job Title* BGP Resource *Project Location* Denver or Northern California *Duration* 6+ months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI: Telephone + Skype* *Need USC or GC or EAD-GC Only.* I need a strong BGP resource in Denver or Northern California. *Must be a BGP SME* (see job description below). *Essential Functions:* - Develop and present tactical network engineering packages. - Maintain the standard for low-level design documentation and templates. - Maintain the method of procedures for all Wide Area Network changes to the network - Support the Plan, Design, and Implement Facility “Sites” Wide Area Networks, including development of configurations. - Validate the Implementation Wide Area Networks, including development of configurations. - Support the Plan, Design, and Implementation *Voice over IP (VoIP) Networks,* including development of configurations. - Support the Plan, Design, and Implementation Load Balancing and Application Acceleration Services. - Implement routing protocols, including OSPF, and BGP. - Implement network features, including QoS, EEM and BFD. - Troubleshooting and problem solving for network and application issues. - Configure and assist with implementation of network hardware, including routers, switches, VoIP equipment, security appliances, etc. - Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network topology, equipment, and configuration. - Interact and negotiate with application owners, project managers, vendors, consultants, and contractors to design and implement network solutions. - Perform network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. - Make use of standard operating procedures and applications for service, change, and incident management. - Plan and develop business continuity and disaster recovery strategy for critical application recovery. *Basic Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience. - A minimum of 12 years of network and/or telecommunications engineering experience. - Strong technical project management and engineering skills are mandatory - Strong network documentation skills and can publish written standards for use by network peers - Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment - Excellent customer service focus and analytical problem solving abilities - Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills - Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail - Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster recovery strategies for testing and verification of technical network solutions established for recovery operations. *Preferred Qualifications:* - *Industry related certifications. Cisco CCNP and/or CCDP. Cisco CCIE certification not required but a definite plus.* - Knowledge of HP C-Class, IBM P-Series and ESX Servers, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco and Palo Alto Security Firewalls, Brocade SANs, Oracle RAC, EMC, and Riverbed Application Accelerators. - Extensive knowledge of Remedy, Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - *In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF and MPLS environments*. Knowledge of Juniper “M and E” Series is a definite plus.
