Role: Ruby SDET Engineer

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Contract Duration: 6 months

Interview: Phone interview/Skype Final

 

Overview:

We have an immediate opening for a software development engineer in test in our enterprise QA group. We are looking for an enthusiastic problem-solver who will be contributing to the effort of building the enterprise-wide automation solution for API testing, GUI testing, and business activity automation. The position will be working with the lead engineers, other SDETs, QA engineers, developers, and business users to design and implement the application in Ruby on Rails. 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement testing automation solutions in Ruby on Rails
  • Writing technical document including tutorials and design documents
  • Work with business users to gather requirements and demonstrate the progress
  • Script/Code reviews
  • Provide automation solutions and LOEs to business units.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of automation experience
  • 3+ years of development experience in Ruby on Rails.
  • 1+ year of QA experience
  • Must have strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Must have strong database skills
  • Must have strong working knowledge on web service architecture
  • Experience in a dynamic ecommerce environment

Education:

  • BS in Computer Science
  • MS in Computer science is a plus

Experience:

  • 2+ years of web service development experience
  • Automation framework or tool development experience
