Please include your employer details as well and reply to my official id [email protected] <[email protected]> JOB TITLE: AIX Admin* *Location: MO-Missouri/Jefferson City* *Duration: 6 Months* *M.O.I Telephonic Hire* *Only required USC,GC,EAD-GC for this requirement * The AIX (Advanced IBM UNIX) Systems Administrator collaborates with Information Technology (IT) staff in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)-driven organizational framework to deliver solutions for installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance for AIX systems. The AIX Systems Administrator will: Install, configure and maintain complex databases, applications and web servers Maintain overall system stability with a 24/7 99.5% uptime (excludes scheduled downtime) Use monitoring tools to ensure system resource availability Interface with software vendors to ensure system configuration stability and translate business needs into technology needs Analyze new and existing vendor software; install, maintain, and customize vendor software as required. Communicate with various levels of staff to provide a regular status regarding AIX Systems Administration projects and activities Prioritize, coordinate and deliver special technology projects Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) data standards Assist in infrastructure design as needed Use basic project management skills to ensure task completion and deliverables are timely Analyze, modify, and/or design computer environments and applications to ensure user requirements/program objectives are met. Apply best practices where possible or engineer new best practices as appropriate. Develop documentation including the use of flowcharts, project specifications, or diagrams; develop/modify illustrations of operational sequences necessary to meet user requirements. Develop and recommend alternative system engineering approaches to realize desired specifications and/or enhancements based on user requirements. Perform feasibility studies, life cycle analysis, and/or cost/benefit studies. Consult with end users to identify current operational procedures and clarify user objectives. Monitor system and application performance to detect errors; apply testing procedures/methodologies (e.g., diagnostic software) and provide interpretation of data. Provide a root-cause analysis for recurring or critical problem Provide technical input during client strategic planning (as required) as part of technical expertise May provide guidance or training for less experienced staff Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respond within agreed upon timeframes Perform other duties as deemed relevant based upon experience to fulfill customer needs *Responsibilities:* Five (5) or more years of demonstrated AIX/Linux/UNIX server administration experience In-depth understanding of AIX/Linux/UNIX fundamentals including kernel subsystems (scheduler, VM, etc), system calls, inter-process communication, process/resource management and file systems Extensive knowledge of WebSphere installation, configuration and administration, including performance tuning for high-volume web traffic Experience with sizing, capacity planning and tuning Experience in a high-availability web application environment Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of services such as DNS, SMTP, SSH, HTTPS and SSL Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI Model, firewalls, load balancers and switches Experience with SAN technology Experience with virtualization technologies such as PowerVM or VMWare *Qualifications:* AIX (Expert) IBM Web Sphere (Experienced) IBM System p series servers (Experienced) DB2 (Knowledgeable) Load Balancing, Clustering (Knowledgeable) Windows (Knowledgeable) HTTP Server (Knowledgeable) Apache (Some experience) PowerVM, VMware, JBoss, Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, Rational, FileNet, TPC Monitoring,TAM eSSO, Cognos Reporting, Oracle, ITCAM SOA, NetCool, OMNIbus, Initiate, Guardium, FileNet, DataCap, TSM, Hadoop, Sun Java, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, ITM IBM Tivioli Monitoring, TIM, TDI, VMWare, Sun iPlanet, WebLogic, NetWeaver CE, Xvfb, Selenium, OnBase, Disaster Recovery and Backup systems.
