The successful candidate must have 8-10 years of relevant sys admin and software engineering experience in roles with increasing responsibility, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in participating in Agile-based development projects. *Competencies/skills required:* • Hands on experience in standing up AWS services (EMR, EC2, S3) in a highly available production environment. • Solid knowledge of Hadoop architecture and core components (Namenode, Datanodes, jobtrackers, task trackers, Oozie, Scribe, Hue, Flume, Hbase, etc.) • Solid knowledge of Hadoop configuration and system tuning • Experience debugging Hadoop component, stability, and performance issues • Proven experience working directly with ETL customers • Strong track record of experience in system engineering including installing and operating standard server configurations, working with complex network topologies, and solving problems in a Linux environment • Advanced shell scripting, Puppet, and Python are a must • Relational database experience such as MySQL or Oracle • Understanding of encryption and key management principles • Organized, good attention to details, and able to work independently • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and emerging requirements • Java programming and Ruby highly desirable *Required Skills:* -Hadoop Clustering -Linux -Must come from an administration background vs. a development background -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
