Sr. iOS Lead
Boston, MA

The Mobile Lead's primary focus
will be supporting the Mobile properties, spanning both Web and iOS platforms.
In this fast paced environment, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring
all design & code produced follows all defined standards while maintaining
robust performance. To be successful, the candidate must be able to partner with
numerous groups, including QA and Infrastructure communicating information
including scope of modifications and timelines.
Essential
Job Duties
- Proficiency
in Java/Objective C, preferably in an e-Commerce environment.
- Proficiency
in building Mobile Web/iOS applications from scratch.
- Ability to build/review design documents, and technical
implementations details including but not limited to physical environment,
data flow, and software architecture of new/existing systems, pushing back
when standards are not being followed.
- Ability to identify and establish scope and parameters of
requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact,
outcome criteria, and metrics.
- Ability to write/ensure application related SQL is optimized for
performance.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical
requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project
team.
- Working knowledge for the following Methodologies: Service
Oriented/Integration Architecture, Session & State Management, Change
& Configuration Management.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for development team
(both internal and contractors).
- Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
market.
- Participate in vendor evaluations for potential tools/supporting
applications.
Desired
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of
Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, or information
systems.
- At least 3-5 years of experience with Java/Objective C, with a
minimum of 3 years in the lead capacity.
- Extensive experience with SOA, Java/Objective C, ESB, and NoSQL
technologies.
- Experience working with high volume applications and optimizing
performance throughput.
- Demonstrated skills of project management and quality assurance
with a keen eye on clean code creation up
front.
- Individual should have a track record of delivering IT solutions
in a changing environment with a distributed workforce; prefer experience with
both large and small companies.
- Prior Software development experience and a solid understanding
of software development lifecycle concepts is a
must.
- Ability to multi-task across numerous eCommerce initiatives at
once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the
ability to speak and write clearly, precisely and in a highly focused manner,
and to present persuasively and professionally in front of a group of senior
managers.
- Skilled and experienced at reaching out across the organization
and communicating with people at different levels, with diverse needs and
agendas (including company technical and non-technical
management).
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management
skills.
