*Oracle DBA / Application Systems Engineer/DBA* *Location: Atlanta, GA* *Duration: 12 months+* *Rate: $55/hr on c2c* DOAS is seeking an Application Systems Engineer/DBA to help with the effort of relocating our applications from a local data center to the State’s Tier 4 data center. The agency is currently working within a larger project plan to consolidate many of the agencies servers to the state’s data center. *Qualifications:* The Application System Engineer/DBA will assist in this very large project and: · Must have the ability to configure Oracle 9 and 10 for use on new infrastructure · Must have the ability to move Oracle 9 and 10 databases from one sever to another · Must have the understanding of Unix Shell scripting · Must have the ability to troubleshoot application connectivity to databases · Ability to configure SQL 2008 for use on new infrastructure · Ability to move SQL 2008 databases from one server to another The candidate should have proven knowledge and skills in the following operating systems and databases: Operating Systems, Application Servers and Related: - Solaris - Linux - Tomcat/Apache - Unix Shell Scripting - Oracle Gateway Databases: - Oracle 9i, 10g, 11 - RMAN Other: - Shareplex - Migration of CRON jobs. Infrastructure design is not part of the scope of this position. Our current infrastructure partner is responsible for managing the activities related to infrastructure design, building, testing and help define server, storage, and network requirements to host the applications.
