Description - *SR IT Network Engineer /System Operations* *– San Jose, CA*
Location - San Jose, CA Qualification/Requirement: · *Minimum of 7-10 years infrastructure experience* · Bachelor degree in IS, Computer Science or related field. Minimum 8 years of proven track record in supporting enterprise or customer facing IT infrastructure. · Strong knowledge & support/administration experience with Cisco and *Juniper switches*, routers, wireless access point and firewalls. · · *Expert level skills with Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory.* · Hands on experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of (physical and VMWare virtualized) servers and relates software. · Knowledgeable with network troubleshooting & networking services, protocols & technologies (BGP/OSPF, QoS, DNS, DHCP, Network routing, etc.). · Knowledgeable on monitoring tools & technologies (SNMP, WMI, etc.). · Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with both technical and nontechnical groups. · Ability to lead a team of engineers in a project environment. · Ability to produce documents, including writing requirements, operational specifications, system architecture, test plans and as-built documentation, all with attention to detail. · Infrastructure operational experience required. · Project management skill is a plus. · Work under the direction of the Sr. IT Manager, interface with business applications team, R&D team, and product development team. · Collaborate with Corporate IT and determine network design standards for implementation across all North America. · Study assigned IT infrastructure topics to develop solutions, recommendations and an implementation strategy. Coordinate detailed design and implementation work of other IT engineers with specific domain knowledge so that the system fulfills the requirements, · Troubleshoot services problems dealing with performance, system hardware problems, network problems and application issues escalated by L1 & L2 teams.
