Title: Core Java Web Developer posted on 2014-07-22 14:24:28 Job Description: Title: Core Java Web Developer Duration: 1 + years Location: New York, NY Rate : DOE Experience/ Technical Skills Requirements: Minimum of 5-10 years relevant commercial experience Strong core and server side Java skills (1.6 and above) Understanding of web and mobile technology skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery, Angular, Backbone, Node, etc. Knowledge and experience of working with common implementation and web application patterns Experience of applying agile software development methodologies to deliver robust, well tested solutions. Proven record of working across the full product lifecycle: requirements clarification and analysis, implementation, test case generation and automation, and providing support The successful candidate will have a proven track record leading the delivery of web application platforms using his/her knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript framework/methodologies. The candidate will get to work with modern technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, web services, JavaScript libraries (e.g. JQuery) and frameworks (e.g. Angular, Backbone). They should also demonstrate knowledge and interest in the mobile ecosystem (both web and native paradigms). They should be comfortable working with Agile processes, with an emphasis on writing good quality, easily testable code. They should also be able to collaborate and contribute estimates to the planning process. Knowledge of Investment Research and Finance are not essential but experience in any of these areas may provide a candidate with some advantage. Clear verbal and written communication skills will be crucial since the candidate must be able to gather requirements as well as influence and gain consensus for their designs with the global technology team.
