MicroStrategy.
Location: San
Francisco, CA
Duration: 5
Months
The
Business Intelligence Consultant will participate in the design, development,
and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI tools. The BI
Consultant also works with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the
application requirements and, where needed, provides guidance on selection of BI
tools and methodologies.
Rate presented must be all-inclusive of travel
& expenses and consultant must be local to client site (San
Francisco)
Duties & Responsibilities:
MicroStrategy report
and dashboard development.
Participate in the design, build, release and
deployment procedures.
Develop and maintain reporting solutions for large
applications.
Manage release and deployment of data solutions for large
applications.
Provide technical leadership and development for MicroStrategy
suite of tools.
Maintain ongoing functionality of MicroStrategy software and
hardware environments.
Perform problem assessment, resolution and
documentation.
Coordinate and perform data quality validation on new and
existing reports.
Participate in requirements gathering and design for
ongoing development projects.
Experience:
Supported or worked
with QA teams on data/database/meta-data issues.
Must have strong problem
solving and analytical skills.
Must demonstrate a willingness, interest, and
aptitude to learn new technologies and skills.
Ability to work with other
departments and all levels of the company.
Strong dedication to quality
customer service and a working knowledge of service support and delivery
procedures.
Excellent follow-through and attention to
detail.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or similar. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
3-5 (or more)
years of core MicroStrategy development with progressive
experience.
Experience with dashboard development, preferably mobile
dashboard experience.
Ability to provide both logical and physical data
modeling.
Expertise in SQL required.
Proficient with BI & ETL tool
development and implementation processes.
Proficient in Database
Architectures and data mappings.
Incumbent MUST speak English fluently.
