*Job Purpose:*
As a .NET Developer you are responsible for developing the front-end and
middle tiers using HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
Services with C#. Additionally, you are responsible for interacting with
our IT partners to ensure a clear, efficient approach to delivery, quality
in all promoted work, scalable and well thought out approaches, and
front-end technologies that are appropriately implemented.
*Job description:*
*Duties:*
- Create semantic, W3C valid, accessible, cross-browser compatible
front-end web pages and websites.
- Create middle-tier code using ASP.NET Web API with C# to provide
JSON/XML services
- Create well written and maintainable code with unit tests
- Act as a consultant to an agency, vendor, IT, or the Digital
Frontiers team to ensure projects are semantic, W3C valid, accessible (as
required), and cross-browser compatible.
- Work within current constraints of a website or application to
extend functionality or support User-Experience (Design) direction.
- Execute tasks as assigned from our Request Database.
- Execute content turns according to turn schedule or as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered
across our web properties, internal applications, and systems as reported
or experienced.
- Provide expertise to influence project, initiative, and maintenance
technical direction during discovery, planning, and implementation stages.
*Skills/Qualifications:*
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using C#/.NET 4.0-4.5
- LINQ
- JSON
- ASP.NET MVC
- HTML5, CSS
- JavaScript, jQuery, KnockoutJS
- oAUTH
- RESTful based services created with ASP.NET Web API
- Experience with design patterns (MVC/MVVM)
- T-SQL/SQL Server 2012
- Entity Framework
- Experience with Team Foundation Server
- Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Visual Studio 2012/2013
