experience. Summary: Looking for a Solution Architect - Mobile & Web
PROJECT: The effort we are expecting this Contractor to work on is Practice
Tech. Practice Tech is multi-year program that is looking to create the
next-generation Advisor capabilities for our Advisors. The objective of the
program is to re-enable the various Selling, Servicing and other capabilities
that the Advisor use to function on variety of Mobile devices while maintaining
a consistent experience, availability etc.. _javascript_ is essential. iOS and
Android are nice to have. We would prefer for someone to have these skills but
if they don’t is okay. Assuming that their Web 2.0 and Responsive Web skills are
good. Type of project work we'd like to see: interactive web sites, SOA, Mobile
Apps. Example of Technologies/Frameworks that we would like to see (note: not
all of these are required, just nice to see in experience): HTML/CSS/_javascript_,
Java JEE/JSP/Spring, SOA/ESB, WEB 2.0, Ajax, jQuery/Backbone/Knockout.
Responsible for conceptualizing and designing detailed solutions for specific
projects enabling the organization to meet business objectives. The focus of
this role will be on client-side applications (_javascript_ and native iOS
applications), with a secondary focus on services/API specifications.
Required: ·
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or related work
experience. ·
Skills in general
architecture, operations, and deployment methodologies and
techniques ·
Solid understanding and
applied expertise in solutions architecture designs and concepts, which include
but are not limited to: SDLC Process, Security, high availability, recovery,
performance, monitoring and operations design, and application architecture.

5+ years of relevant
solutions architecture experience that includes successful software integration
experience. ·
3+ years of software
development and/or technical support experience. ·
Proven experience designing
and developing mobile apps for iOS and / or Android, and web applications with
Rich User Interface. ·
Proven experience designing
and developing hybrid solutions for multiple mobile platforms with HTML5/CSS/JS
as well mobility frameworks ·
Proven experience designing
and developing large distributed solutions in either JEE or .NET and working
knowledge of the other ·
Working knowledge of modern
web application trends like Responsive Design, _javascript_ MVC frameworks, and
principles of Enterprise Grade web sites. ·
Working knowledge of the
core elements of “Open Web” applications (HTML5, CSS3 and _javascript_) and the
variety of technologies, frameworks respectively. ·
Working knowledge and
experience of _javascript_ and supporting best practices, frameworks and
standards. ·
Working knowledge of AJAX,
REST, SOAP, Databases, Linux, Windows, CVS, and HTML/DOM.

Proven experience,
demonstrated designing and delivery of scalable and distributed web applications
·
Ability to communicate
effectively with developers, stakeholders, peers, and leadership driving results
and action. ·
Possess strong business
acumen and the ability to identify key issues and their impact in a broad
business context. ·
Candidate must be able to
translate technology into business terms and value, with a history of
influencing and improving business solutions. Preferred: ·
Effective communication
skills (written and verbal) to effectively interact with all levels of
technology and business partners. ·
Experience delivering
concurrent, large information management projects at all phases-from project
definition through design and delivery. ·
Ability to participate and
contribute to proof of concepts. ·
