7.5.0.6 A MUST Overview: Consultant will be responsible to deploy and maintain the media servers
and storage in a NetBackup 7.5.0.6 environment, under the guidance of the
NBU architect. This environment
heavily leverages Fibre Transport functionality. They are responsible for
maintaining daily upkeep of the environment as well as working with the
architect on the deployment and design of the environment Job
Requirements 1.
Must have 2-4
years of experience with Symantec Netback up
(NBU) . a.
1-2 years of managing
Symantec Netback up (NBU)7.x 2.
Practical knowledge of Storage Software/Hardware including
: a.
Strong consideration will be given to consultants with following
skills: Ø
Proven experience with NBU upgrades + new NBU master/media + + possible
appliance + daily administration 3.
Prior experience with complex IT
infrastructure 4.
Certification in Netbackup 7.5.0.6
5.
Candidate should have experience with different tape library technologies
and be able to integrate multiple backup systems on 1 library
system. 6.
Candidate should be comfortable in performing master & media server
version upgrades and configuration of SLPs, MSDPs, storage units, storage unit
groups, and disk resources. 7.
Candidate should be able to significantly knowledgeable in Netbackup
command line and be able to produce scripts to utilize in managing the Netbackup
environment 8.
Experience working directly with customers is a
must 9.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and to adapt easily
to change, ability to maintain positive attitude while working under pressure
and strict timelines 10.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills exercised on a regular
basis (verbal & written) 11.
Driven, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic, an individual who has a
