Job Title: PHP Developer Location: Irvine,California Duration:6+Months Rate: DOE Locals Required SKYPE Required G.C/Citizens/E.A.D JOB DESCRIPTION: · Work on enhancing and maintaining our portfolio of web properties . · Develop microsites and other quick turn-around projects from scratch . · Build front end web components using WordPress plugins and custom scripting . · Code to enhance SEO for marketing websites. · Participate in sprint planning (Scrum). · Write effective documentation and solicit feedback. · Review Pull Requests (Git) and critique code. · Collaborate with QA and other team members to shepherd changes through to Production. · Analyze opportunities for automating or generating reusable code. · Participate and contribute in weekly brown bag sessions. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education and Qualifications: · 7+ years of experience with PhP and WordPress. · 5+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. · Some experience with Magento or other e-commerce web application. · Knowledge of OO principles, design patterns, MVC. · Experience with Bootstrap or a similar framework for Responsive Web Development. · Knowledge of best-practices for efficient server utilization, including caching techniques. · Understanding of source control management (We use Git and Stash). · Knowledge of page speed optimization best practices. · Proficient with debugging JavaScript, adding breakpoints and stepping through scripts. · Understanding of SEO best practices and standards. · Eagerness to continuously learn and share.
