Performs in-depth network services monitoring and troubleshooting. Evaluates and deploys new services and functions as needed. Serves as lead on network projects and participates in network infrastructure design. Installs software and hardware and configures servers and firewalls. Implements, maintains and documents security policies. Manages intrusion detection systems, internet monitoring, virus protection and other security initiatives. Tunes networks to ensure availability and performance standards are met. Creates and implements disaster recovery strategies. Supports email applications and spam management *Key Requirements* - 5 Minimum years of experience required ** Network Administrator, Network Engineer, CCNA - Bachelor’s degree is a bonus but not required - Certification or training that is required/desired in a candidate: CCNA or higher - TOP qualifications needed in a candidate on their resume: Cisco, Aruba, Avaya, implementation, engineering, design, - Day in the life/project information of the contractor’s day to day duties: implementation, engineering, design, customer support - Measurable performance objectives expected when this contractor begins : ServiceNOW work orders, and specific project deliverables TBD - Travel required across key locations in Northern California Bay Area.
