*Contract: 6+ months* *Location: Detroit, MI* *Interview: Phone->F2F* Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of project efforts that utilize information technology solutions. IT Delivery Leads develop, establish and maintain project management standards and procedures. They are responsible for developing the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and information technology sponsor approvals and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project. Other responsibilities include the refinement of requirements, project coordination, development of plans and schedules, resource planning and estimation and project maintenance. The Senior Delivery Manager within this job family has a strategic role in managing and leveraging the entire lifecycle of IT investments in infrastructure and systems. Once a project is set in motion, IT Delivery Management professionals are expected to communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team and conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. They are responsible for managing the prioritization procedures for changing scope (i.e., change management) and project acceptance procedures. Throughout the project lifecycle they obtain feedback to ensure that project efforts meet customer expectations for contracted time, cost and performance. *Work Complexity* · Responsible for the management of multiple small-sized, moderately complex enterprise-wide projects. *Education/ Experience * · Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. · 7 years of IT work experience, including 2 years managing projects required. · Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. *Questions: submit the response to the questions listed below with resume submittals: * 1.What industries have you worked in; i.e., health care, insurance, financial, manufacturing? 2.Have you had experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously? Please describe the project, your role on the project, and how your participation in the project contributed to the success of the project. *Minimum 8+ years of work experience in the following areas: * · Experience working with Multiple Vendors · Experience in leading the project delivery of complex enterprise application systems, distributed systems, and system integration solutions · Experience leading the delivery of projects using the following technologies and concepts: Java, J2EE, ETL, EAI concepts, Web based solutions · System Analysis experience preferred · Distributed application development experience preferred · Insurance industry experience (healthcare preferred) *Required Skills: 8+ years of experience: * · MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word · Project Management Institute's standards and terminology · High Proficiency Level in specific job related duties and skills are required. · Master's degree in related field preferred. .
