Position: Java Application Developer
Location: Detroit,MI
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
·Works with and mentors front-end web developers and database developers to deliver a rich experience for users
·Codes with future proofing and re-usability of code in mind and fully aware of the effects of certain coding practices.
·Interfaces with senior technical staff to explore and suggest strategic technical solutions
·Monitors work against the production schedule and produce progress updates, reporting issues or technical difficulties to senior colleagues routinely.
·Responsible for work quality and process as well as that of the wider team, ensuring it meets the team's and corporate technical standards.
·Works closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
·These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization's architectural standards.
·Application Developers are involved in the full systems life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
·Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations.
·Individuals also provide input to project plans related to the Application Development initiative.
Required Skills:
·JAVA and J2EE development experience, preferably gained on multi-tier web-based business applications.
·Application programming and analysis experience required.
·Proficient working with Spring, Hibernate, Struts2, Maven, SQL, XML, Tag Libraries, JSPs.
·Understanding of architecture structures design and it's importance to the application's design
