This position will play a crucial role in Windows Azure Infrastructure planning team in re-inventing and leading best in class server & server component supply chain on a global basis. This position requires extensive cross-group collaboration and plays a crucial role in defining capacity planning, distribution planning, flow path modeling, and operations research on regional and global levels. In this highly visible role, you will identify trade-offs, work across disciplines and divisions, balance tactical and strategic initiatives, drive decisions, present to executives, work with partners, and get your hands dirty with direct operational experience. Specifically, the Program Manager, Supply Planning has the following responsibilities: Supply Chain SME: Serve as a functional expert in all aspects of distribution & capacity planning, inventory management, strategic sourcing models, cost trade off analysis and collaborative supply chain. Operations Management: Experience with managing strategic and tactical relationships with multiple OEM’s, ODM’s; building statement of work and process management. Drive operations excellence across manufacturing and supply chain functions - drive key business / operations processes, milestone management and issue management for product launches Communicate to leadership the recommended supply plan, including its underlying assumptions and strategic basis, upside and downside risk factors, and our plans for adapting to the unpredictable. Execute, measure and continuously improve key end-to-end supply chain performance indicators and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. This leader will have superb communications skills and the highest level of integrity and intellectual honesty. He or she will be gifted at inspiring confidence in the teams he/she directly manages, across the organization, and externally with large suppliers and vendors; this requires an exceptional ability to simplify complex concepts and to bring clarity to ambiguous situations. Required Experience 7+ years progressive experience in various supply chain planning roles A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas outside of planning (e.g. strategic sourcing). A proven track record of business intelligence or data mining experience. Experience managing large financial commitments. An ability to manage diversity of culture in organizations as well as a highly matrixed organizational structure. Hands-on leadership experience moving fluidly from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation. Excellent communication, collaboration skills Outstanding systems thinking and design skills Experience with large scale OEM, ODM and commodity Supply Chain logistics Personal Qualities Exhibits excellent judgment Has relentlessly high standards Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution Expects and requires innovation of her/his team Thinks big and has convictions Results-oriented Has the innate ability to inspire passion in others Basic Qualifications 1. Degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business or other related quantitative disciplines. 2. 5+ years leading a supply planning or related data/decision sciences organization for a CE or hi-tech company 3. Extensive Project Management experience managing the implementation of a medium to large Supply Chain Systems project, including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing / sourcing, warehousing / inventory management, transportation, distribution. 4. Experience in Supply chain management and good understanding of different supply chain models and managing Supply Chain projects and being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously 5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage key stakeholders, resolve problems and seek practical solutions 6. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or APICS certification preferred. 7.
