Job Description:Role: *Pega BPM SME*
Location: NYC, Need Locals’
Duration: 6+ Months

The Client Lifecycle Pega SME will be integral to the development of a new
client management platform for the Client Lifecycle program which will
automate a significant number of processes
The role will part of a development team tasked with creating the new
platform.  This individual will be responsible for designing, architecting,
assisting development and developing BPM applications using Pega PRPC. The
applications are high-profile and in early stages. The Pega SME will report
into the Global Head of Client Lifecycle IT.

*Responsibilities*
§  Architect, design and develop BPM applications
§  Fully understand business needs and requirements
§  Lead the effort in gathering and understanding requirements and use cases
§  Perform solution architecture and design within Pega PRPC
§  Drive creation and integration of web services/databases/legacy systems
§  Design class structure, data models and application frameworks
§  Lead software development activities
§  Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality,
coding, UI and Corporate standards, including reviewing alert logs
§  Enforce best practices in Pega architecture / design / coding and
monitor guardrails
§  Interface with business team to assist in conducting business analysis
and requirements gathering.


*Experience Required*
§  8+ years of software development experience; particularly within the
financial services industry.
§  Exceptional knowledge about PEGA Class Hierarchy
§  Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design,
software development, and testing
§  Delivery of large scale systems.
§  Client Lifecycle domain knowledge (client onboarding, maintenance and
off-boarding) business analysis and / or technical knowledge preferred.
§  Experience and thorough understanding of business process management
(BPM) systems like (PEGA, IBM BPM, Fenergo, jBPM, etc)
§  Experience with JAVA and related technologies, including relational
databases
§  Expertise in objected-oriented analysis and design across a variety of
platforms
§  A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into
working software
§  Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business
partners on solution design
§  Pega certifications, especially CSSA and CLSA

*Skills Required*
§  Knowledge of PRPC Rule Resolution, Inheritance, Circumstancing,
Persistence, JMS/JNDI Connectors, PRPC Multi-node architecture and caching
§  Exceptional knowledge about PEGA Class Hierarchy
§  Prior experiences leading code reviews
§  Proven SOAP / XML / WS-Security expertise
§  Demonstrated Pega PRPC Agents and Services knowledge
§  5 + years of experience in Pega PRPC
§  5 + years of experience with MS SQL Server
§  Experience in creating SOAP/MQ/File connectors / services
§  Experience in performance tuning in PEGA BPM applications
§  Strong communication skills and proven teamwork

*Personal Requirements*
§  A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business
Management or related discipline (An appropriate combination of education
and directly related experience may satisfy this requirement).
§  Must be able to participate in a culture of “knowledge sharing” within
the development team.
§  Ability to understand the business context of requirements and apply to
the task in hand.
§  Ability to work under pressure to deliver to committed timescales.
§  Strong basic technical skills with demonstrated ability to learn further.
§  Exemplary team player.
§  A good understanding of the investment banking business will be an
advantage.
