Job Title: GIS Analyst Location: Memphis,TN Duration: 6 Months + Rate: DOE Job Description: Provide GIS data management, data modeling and GIS analysis to support the City of Memphis Public Works Division and their GIS project needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain and manage all Public Works Storm Water and Sanitary Sewer spatial data· Maintain and manage all other GIS data relating to Public Works within a ArcGIS Server/SDE· environment Prepare and perform various geoprocessing of GIS data for Public Works related GIS· applications Ensure that metadata is compliant with FGDC standards for all Public Works GIS data· Perform high-level GIS analysis with a variety of data formats, Shape Files, Personal· Geodatabases, Third Party data sources (Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, etc.), images Assist the City's Enterprise GIS team to develop distributed products via web-based technology· and desktop software for Public Works Utilize the full suite of ESRI GIS software including extensions (Network Analyst, Spatial· Analyst, 3D Analyst, etc) to perform high-level analysis to support various mapping projects and web-based applications Prepare presentation maps for meetings, conferences and other public viewing on behalf of Public· Works Conduct GIS project presentations to Public Works management and other personnel· Develop and conduct regular GIS related training for Public Works personnel· Maintains awareness of current advances in technology as it relates to GIS· Performs other related duties as assigned· MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or other· related field, Master's degree preferred 4 - 5 years professional working experience in GIS techniques and methodologies· Expertise in working with ESRI software including the extensions within an ArcGIS Multi-User· versioned geodatabase environment Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate· effectively with all levels of the organization Thanks & Regards, *Venu* *VortalSoft, Inc* 220 Davidson Avenue Suite #3A Somerset NJ 08873 Phone: 732-377-1014 E-mail: [email protected] <[email protected]> URL: www.vortalsoft.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
