There is 1 other developer that is more Junior - Needs to be able to grab hold of an issue and take control with minimal input from management. *Questions* How many years design experience - Expert Level. Will not be mentored. System is not complex, but must be self-sufficient 3-4 database design and 5-6 SQL. No educational requirements. But you would be hard pressed to find someone that can do this well without Bachelor’s Degree. No remote work option. *Responsibilities* - Troubleshoot and bring solutions for application environment including code analysis, server configurations, and network configurations. Some .net application development is required. - Tune and troubleshoot SQL views, stored procedures, indexing issues etc. - Design, build, and support SQL queries that contain advanced business logic. - Design, build, and support integrations between multiple external and internal databases across a variety of platforms using IIS and SQL. - Assist business in extracting complex data result sets and provide those results via Excel data views, Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, or flat file exports. - Serve as subject matter expert and provide advanced data analysis to the business in application systems and supporting databases. - Support and provide basic upgrades to data warehouse, data marts, and OLAP database. Must possess a working knowledge of maintaining an OLAP database and its underlying schema. *For Vetting Process* Need at least a skype interview for non-local Relocate on own cost *How long is assignment?* 6-12 months *Percentage of job duty breakout* - Primarily Maintenance Development. 75% production troubleshooting/tuning. 25% enhancement development. Very appealing to a lot of developers. *Interview questions* - Extremely theoretical in questions. Ask a bunch of theory questions about database design, support, and programming. Less time on specifics and more on theory. - Very specific SQL questions. Answer straightforward question. - Performance tuning techniques, methodology.
