This project Manager will work independently within guidelines, be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. Additional responsibilities include facilitating status meetings with project team members to collect % complete, remaining work, due dates, issues, risks, etc. Excellent project management, consultative and analytical skills are a must · General corporate functions applied to IT: budgeting, financial and contracts management, audit, compliance, human resources, training and development. · With general guidance and coaching, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. · Typically manages one project of moderate size and multiple projects of small to moderate size and risk concurrently. · Oversees the system development process. · Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule. · Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies. · Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies. · Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders. · Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met. *Top Three Skills/Experience* · Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and attention to details a must. · Minimum 2-3 years experience with, or exposure to, Data Warehouse or Information Management solutions · Minimum 2 years experience in a delivery role leading Information Management related initiatives is required *Required Skills/Experience* · Proven competence in analyzing business needs and working with cross functional (technical; non technical) teams to deliver enterprise solutions. · Experience leading a matrix project team to define, establish, and ensure completion of all program milestones while adhering to timelines and budgets. · Proven experience managing projects at various levels of complexity using Project Management Methodologies. · Strong analytical skills and attention to details a must · Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Software development Lifecycle (SDLC) · Prior experience with, or exposure to, Data Warehouse or BI solutions · Prior experience leading Information Technology (IT) implementation projects · Experience working with and managing 3rd party vendors on Project Deliverables · Minimum 2-3 years experience in a delivery role leading Information Management related initiatives (system integration, data warehouse build, data mart build, or similar) is required · Utilizes solid knowledge of the Project Management Institute approached, standards and terminology. *Preferred Skills/Experience* · Prior experience in healthcare or payer industry is preferred · Ability to write and execute SQL statements a plus · Access Database skills a plus *Educational Requirements* · Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. · PMP certification is a plus.
